SOCOTRA

Socotra, some 400 kilometers off the coast of Yemen is safe and open for travel during these pandemic times. Travel to Socotra is via a once a week special charter flight from Abu Dhabi. You will be in the company of excellent local guides, and assistants to help with camping and travel across the island.

For those with a taste for the unusual Socotra might be your cup of tea. Remote and little visited Socotra is also beautiful and its landscape has been termed surreal or alien in the most stunning manner. With little in the way of infrastructure, a visit to Socotra involves camping in comfortable tents for most nights. This puts you in contact with our superb Socotri team who set up camp, cook our meals, guide us and drive us around the island. Each day brings a new adventure as we explore another part of this varied island, as we see more of the endemic plant life, the most renown of which are the dragon's blood trees. We will visit villages and meet locals, hike to canyons and rivers, swim in the azure Indian Ocean and camp under the stars in comfortable tents.
