On this journey we explore the most interesting parts of the country, starting with the north where we visit Lalibela and its impressive rock hewn churches, and then drive south from Addis Ababa to the beautiful Rift Valley lakes and their varied scenery and wildlife. We continue south to the Omo Valley, home to tribal people who live much as they did 100 years ago, painting and scarifying their bodies and making their homes in villages that have very few of the items of the modern world most of us take for granted. With our local guides (who are themselves tribe members) we get a rare glimpse into their lives and have the opportunity to interact with these people as few other visitors do.
